Market season prep: the print that makes a Spokane booth pull its weight

· 2 min read

Fruits in Spokane market

A booth lives or dies on two things: whether people can tell what you're selling and what it costs before they decide to stop, and whether they can find you again after they've walked away. A few well-made print pieces cover both. A table full of clutter covers neither.

Here's what actually earns a sale at a market booth — and what's just paper.

Let people read your prices from the aisle

Most people won't stop to ask what something costs. They'll assume it's more than they want to spend and keep walking. A clear, readable price — on a small table tent or a propped price card — does the selling for you before anyone makes eye contact. It also saves you from answering the same question a hundred times a day. This is the single highest-value thing you can print for a booth.

Give them something worth keeping

The other half of a market sale often happens days later, at home, online — which only works if the customer still has a way to find you. A small takeaway card with your name, what you make, and where to reorder (a QR code to your site works well) is what makes that possible. Give people a reason to keep it: your next market date, a note, a small thank-you. A card that gets kept is a card that comes back.

A flyer for the business behind the booth

If you do more than sell at the market — custom orders, wholesale, catering, events — a simple flyer or handout tells the browser you're a business, not just a stall. It's the piece that turns a five-dollar sale into a standing order.

Don't over-print

Here's the part most printers won't tell you: two or three good pieces beat a cluttered table every time. Spend your money making the price card and the takeaway card genuinely good, and skip the rest until you've watched a few markets and learned what people actually pick up. You can always print more of what works.

We print all of it, and we'll happily tell you which two or three pieces are worth it for your booth before you spend on a stack you won't hand out. Price a set on our site, or bring us what you sell and we'll help you keep it simple.
