In January 2026 we bought a Spokane print shop that had run for 97 years as Lithograph Reproductions, and rebranded it as Brand Boost Prints. Buying a business that old isn't like starting one. Most of the decisions were made long before us, by people who kept the doors open through changes far bigger than anything we face. Our job is to be worthy of that — and to make sure the shop is still here in another 97 years.
Here's what that means in practice.
What we're keeping
The presses, and the people who know how to run them. A print shop isn't a website with a machine attached; it's a trade, and the person who can look at a job and know how it should run is the whole business. We kept the crew. We kept the standards. And we kept the thing that made this shop last — that when a customer hands over a file, someone here actually looks at it before it goes on press.
We also kept the shop's place in Spokane. Ninety-seven years as Lithograph Reproductions means generations of local businesses, schools, and families have had their printing done here. That's not a customer list. It's a responsibility.
About the new name
Lithograph Reproductions meant something in this town, and we didn't rename it lightly. But that name described one process, and the shop does far more than that now. Brand Boost Prints says what we're actually here for — helping local businesses look their best in print. Same shop, same presses, same people. New sign on the door.
What we're upgrading
The parts that were slow and opaque — not the craft. For most of its history, getting a price out of a print shop meant a phone call, a wait, and a number you had to take on faith. We think you should be able to see what a job costs and understand why, so we rebuilt our pricing from the ground up on the real cost of running the work rather than a markup pulled out of the air.
We're also putting more of the shop online: quoting, ordering, and proofing. Not to replace the people, but to give you the same answer at 9pm that you'd get standing at the counter.
Why a 97-year-old press still matters
Anyone can order printing from a website that ships from three states away. What they can't get from that is someone local who will tell them the truth — that a 6x9 postcard is cheaper than a 5x7 for a reason, that a job doesn't need the expensive paper, that the rush isn't worth it this time. That kind of advice only comes from a shop that runs the presses itself and plans to be here next year to stand behind the work.
That's the shop we bought, and the one we intend to keep. If you printed with Lithograph Reproductions before, nothing you trusted is going away — same team, same presses, new name. If you haven't — come see what nearly a century of doing one thing well looks like.
